It provides an analysis of any existing employer/employee insurance, present, and future requirements before recommending a specific plan. Internal factors such as number of employees, age, risk factors, and desired coverage are considered. External factors include, but are not limited to, trends in the industry, census changes, claims levels, premium paid and service benchmarks for subscriber calls and carrier measurements.

An experienced consultant initiates a program for an employer, provides periodic updates on the industry and how it may affect future costs and coverage. To maintain the right coverage at a competitive price, a carrier may change but the relationship with the D&R consultant continues, making any transition seamless.
